Today was my first day at Disney Consumer Products. I have a great office cube. It’s metal and it has a door! My official title is Coordinator, Tween Apparel (Non-Disney)… that means “Temp.” Sadly, there are lots of temps there, and many are nearing the end of their 15 month term without the promise of a job in their near future. Hopefully they’ll find something soon!
My office is across from my friend Laurent’s. I really like my boss too! She’s very cool, very chill yet direct. I worked on a project of redoing binders for her today, and I spent some time with my co-worker, Colleen, learning the Approval Software.
Our office is really nice! We have a food commissary! I got a Mediterranean wrap today for lunch. Also during lunch was an art exhibit outside. A really awesome splatter paint artist was painting to music when I went outside after eating. He did a really cool Mickey Mouse.
I don’t have a computer yet, but one has been ordered for me. I am not sure if I’ll be able to chat online, but Twitter is probably not blocked. Anyhow, I’ll keep you posted. So far, I like it!
