Lieberman & PUMA

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/03/rnc.democrat.reaction/index.html is a good article from CNN that focuses on the inaccuracies of Lieberman’s speech. I was very disappointed. This man ran with Gore! How could he support the ideals of Democracy, but throw his vote, words and supporters behind McCain/Palin? They stand for everything he ran against in 2000! Makes me really sad to see this happen! I am sure Gore is pretty disappointed in him too! I understand that McCain is his friend; so, I am sure it would be tough for him not to support his friend, still… I believe our country needs more than political friendships right now. It needs solutions.

My favorite part about the article reflects how the RNC didn’t even talk about the issues. It shows how little they really care about them. I’ve watched much the RNC last night, and a good deal of it focused on McCain as a POW. Yeah, it sucks he went through that; but, it still doesn’t prove that he can relate to the average American! To me, I value a candidate that has plans and ideals that would benefit myself and the majority of our citizens. This brings me to another point…

Palin and Clinton.. how on earth would a supporter of Hilary Clinton ever back Palin?! Palin and Hilary are NOTHING alike, aside from the fact that they are both female. Clinton has Democratic ideals – pro-choice, pro-environment, healthcare reform, creating jobs for out-of-work Americans! Palin is pro-life. I don’t know much about her otherwise, but I know she is a hunter. She wants to save lives of humans, but kill animals. Ugh! That disgusts me! If you are going to be an evil animal murderer, at least be pro-choice (since you are choosing to kill). Sick!

Clinton supporters that are backing Palin (and the group: PUMA – Party Unity, My Ass) may be upset with Obama not choosing Hilary as VP, but the truth is: he won the nomination fair and square and chose a candidate he believed would best help govern this country! He is the choice of the Democratic party, and even Hilary is okay with this now. I believe she honestly supports his decisions. I KNOW she supports most of his ideals and plans. She wants her supporters to vote for her Democratic ideals, not her gender! How dare they overlook what matters to her as a person! It really pisses me off! It’s so superficial! Our lives and well-being is at stake. The country is at stake. Jobs and healthcare are at stake… you need to vote with your brain, people! Who will help us? Gender has nothing to do with policy and planning for a better tomorrow!

Okay, enough about that. I’m exhausted just thinking about it!
