The Oscars were good this year, but left me feeling disappointed because it ended on an unpleasant note: No Country for Old Men won Best Picture! Ugh! I really don’t like that movie. I almost did, but the last 20 min ruined the entire movie for me and it was completely unredeemable after that. In fact, I never connected with the characters and didn’t really feel attached to the story. It was an overall lousy movie in my opinion. I wish Michael Clayton would have won, or There Will Be Blood (although I didn’t see it – I heard it was excellent).
I am happy Juno won best Screenplay! I am also happy Sweeney Todd won for best Art Direction! 🙂 It was a nice night overall, but No Country? Really? Bah!
