It’s been a pretty lousy month… let me recap for you:
1. I got food poisoning
2. John got the flu
3. Aurora & Dagan were diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure (Kidney Failure). They went in for a 4-Day IV drip each, costing a few thousand dollars.
4. Dagan doesn’t eat much and howl’s most evenings. He’s vomiting and has soft stool. I don’t know how to help him, as these are just some of the symptoms. He’s not in pain, but is definitely not very comfortable 24/7. I love him so much!
5. I got the flu – was laid up for about 4 straight days, and still had lingering effects of exhaustion and nausea for a few days.
6. I miss a few days of work and HR tells me I can’t miss any more work until I make up ALL borrowed time (at 12.5hrs a month, that’s about 8mnths)
7. I get severely depressed and nauseas – can’t eat, don’t want to go out, just miserable
8. The job I was going to get with my dad’s boss is on hold as he’s having trouble funding the projects I was going to be designing a site for. The delay could be 2 months or 2 years, who knows. Though he still wants to hire me, it’s so far off that I need a back-up plan.
9. I have to begin job hunting frantically, but there are no jobs / salary ranges that I’ve found that would make my life any better than it already is. The economy sucks!
10. I have a wedding in April I’ll be photographing in FL, a vacation to visit friends in NC in May, and I don’t know how I’ll afford anyone to watch the cats (who require a daily IV drip and two feedings a day). Above this, if I start a new job, I will also need to take time off for these trips. Not going to be easy.
I’d like to flash forward in time to when I have a good job, am making more money, my cats are feeling better and I am not sick or depressed. Sadly, time travel is not something I know how to do; so, I have to suffer through this.
Thankfully, I have a wonderful boyfriend (who I love so much) to help me through this!
