til I have a day off! I’ll be working a lot this week to get Lola Felli ready for launch on Sunday. On Saturday, I have a wedding (maybe 2). The next time I will be sleeping in and spending the day in leisure is Nov 20th, at a campsite in Anza Borrego with some friends!
So, this past week was insane! I spent most of it packing my entire apartment into boxes. Gigi moved out on Monday, and I was very sad to see her go. 🙁
Tuesday was a busy day. John & Sandy Leonetti moved in. I moved into Gigi’s room and they took my old room. I continued packing everything into boxes, while still trying to relocate my life to a space 7 feet away. In the evening, I made cupcakes for Violet’s birthday with the help of Sandy & Kyle. We then went to Trivia. Our team sucked ass, but it was still a fun night!
Slept in on Wednesday and then made waffles for Kyle & I for breakfast. Cleaned some more and packed some more. I can’t even remember what I did that night!
On Thursday, I frantically packed the rest of the apartment into boxes til way late into the night. I didn’t leave the house all day!
Friday was “new carpet” installation day! All furniture and boxes were moved out and new golden honey colored carpet was put into every room! It’s beautiful and soft!
After, John, Sandy & I started to put our rooms back together. This was a huge task, and it is not nearly done! In the evening, Josef came by and the 4 of us went to El Morfi for dinner. Yum!!!!
Later that night, after a long trip to Target to get household supplies, Kyle came over and we watched Me, Myself & Irene while chowing on kettle corn and drinking hot chocolate and apple cider. 🙂
Slept in on Saturday, then Kyle took me to breakfast at Billy’s Deli around 1pm. I spent the rest of the day running errands and unpacking. At 10pm, I headed to Koji’s to meet Adrienne for some karaoke. We had most of the mic to ourselves, and I sang tons of songs. A new karaoke song for me too… Peaches by PoUSA! Kyle said my best song of the night was “Here is Gone” by the Goo Goo Dolls. I love that song!
Unfortunately, my plan to leave Koji’s at 12:15am was a total failure. Adrienne & I were stupid drunk and couldn’t drive. We walked with Kyle back to his place and he made us both grilled cheese sandwiches. Yum!!! Drank lots of water, played one game of bag-o, talked, then Adrienne left when she felt ready to drive. Kyle & I stayed up for another few hours, against my better judgment… as Sunday was “moving day!” Eeeek!
Woke up at 7:30am and booked it home to Glendale. Got a shower and headed to U-Haul with John to pick up the 14 footer. The line was looooong!
We got to Corona by noon and met up with Elysia, Jay, and KC who were packing up the house. Grandma Rose was packing herself to go to a retirement home (somewhat against her will). It was a stressful and long afternoon. We didn’t leave there til after sunset, and Lyse & I checked Rose into a home in Woodland Hills (70 miles drive from Corona). The guys unloaded boxes and furniture into my apt, public storage, and Elysia’s apartment. John & I finally got back home around 1:30am after a quick dinner stop at Del Taco.
It’s 2:45am now and I’m freakin’ exhausted having slept only 2.5 hours. Coffee was a bit of a help, but what I need right now is true, deep sleep! Better find some sheets for my new bed. Hmmmm…
