Each week is flying by, quickly stripping me of my hope to find a job SOON! Soon has come and gone, even if it is revived each day.
The past few days have been very tough for me. I learned that the HR Mgmt position I interviewed for cannot hire me until a bill passes on November 4th that could severely affect their business. Even so, I am not a shoe-in. Others are in the running, though they really did like me. Nov seems so far away and bills are coming in now…
I spend each day looking at job sites and making calls to recruiters and local companies. Usually, I get a few resumes out for some job possibilities. The past two days have been totally fruitless. I have not seen any matches or near-matches to send my resume and cover letter for. I have not heard back from recruiters who promised to call me back either. This is very disappointing. I know I am very qualified in Project Management and Human Resources. I love working with people – teaching, training, interviewing, managing, helping! I just don’t know why there are no jobs for me. I assume it is because Director level people with over 10 years in the field are lowering their salary requirements and taking my jobs. I also assume it is because the market is extremely competitive and until they bring me in and get to know my personality, they have no way to distinguish me from the next person. My hope is for someone to give my resume a chance and bring me in! I know they’d love me!
In other news, I need to go to the bank and the post office… I’m going to get a shower and take a walk. I need to go outside for a while.
