This past year has truly been a roller-coaster! Besides many bar trivia games at Springbok, random karaoke outings and unemployment checks, here’s a glimpse of my 2008:<\/p>\n

January<\/strong>
\n* New Year’s Eve party at Josh & Jul’s
\n* John Didn’t Come Home from NY for Weeks Due to His Grandma’s Health
\n* Played Broom-Ball with Friends at Pickwick
\n* Started using Spark People to Help Me Exercise & Eat Right – Lost over 10lbs!<\/p>\n

February<\/strong>
\n* Learned HDR Photography
\n* Had a Horrible Bout of the Flu Over Valentine’s Day
\n* Got Food Poisoning, Which Led to Gastritis
\n* Dagan & Aurora Were Both Diagnosed with Kidney Failure
\n* John’s Grandmother Passed On & He Went Back to NY for a Week<\/p>\n

March<\/strong>
\n* John & I Went to Joshua Tree to See the Wildflowers
\n* Reconnected with Some Old Friends (Photographers) to Photograph the Poppy Preserve
\n* Hosted the 2nd Annual Creepy Cages BBQ
\n* Played Laser Tag at Ultra-Zone<\/p>\n

April<\/strong>
\n* Gracie Kitten was Born
\n* Flew to FL for Brandon & Christina’s Wedding
\n* Penny Moved to LA
\n* Went to the Ren-Faire, Despite the Awful Heatwave
\n* Got Laid Off from Disney Stores<\/p>\n

May<\/strong>
\n* Long Days Spent Job Hunting & Watching CNN
\n* John Got a Job at Warner Bros as a PA in Estimating
\n* John & I Went to NC for a Week (visited Gallers, True\/Gast’s, and Raccioppi’s)
\n* Spent a Lot of Evenings Playing Mario Kart Wii<\/p>\n

June<\/strong>
\n* Got a Job as a Project Manager \/ HR Manager at Zigabid
\n* Went Camping in Yosemite with John, Dave & Michele
\n* Saw My 1st Wild California Bear
\n* Gracie Came Home on 6\/21
\n* Helped Spread the Word in Support of Obama and Prop 2 (CA – Animal Rights) and Worked Hard to Speak Out Against Prop 8 (Ban on Gay Marriage)
\n* Josef & I Went to San Francisco to see Camper Van Beethoven’s 25th Anniversary Show<\/p>\n

July<\/strong>
\n* Had a Great 4th of July with Penny, Sarah, Missy & Baby Emily
\n* Went to Comic-Con in San Diego
\n* Turned 31
\n* Blogged and Tweeted for Obama, CA Prop 8 and Against Prop 8<\/p>\n

August<\/strong>
\n* Megan & My Joint Birthday Party
\n* Went Ice Skating for Lyse’s Birthday
\n* Flew to Kansas for Josh & Jul’s Wedding

\n* Survived Some Very Hot days of Summer
\n* Got a New Microwave (Old One Was About 9 yrs Old)
\n* Went Swimming at the Polk Street Palace
\n* Got Laid Off from Zigabid
\n* Had an Amazing Time at the Cracker \/ Camper Camp Out
\n* Still Addicted to Politics and CNN
\n* Volunteered with Rock the Vote
\n* Went to Halloween Haunt for Josef’s Birthday (Thanks to Ryan)
\n* Blogged and Tweeted for Obama, CA Prop 8 and Against Prop 8<\/p>\n

October<\/strong>
\n* Blogged and Tweeted for Obama, CA Prop 8 and Against Prop 8
\n* Attended an Incredible Night Photography Class in Pearsonville with Troy Paiva & Joe Reifer
\n* Hosted the 5th Annual Autumn Party
\n* Helped Fund-raise at Elysia’s Cancer Benefit to Raise Money for Her Lymphatic Surgery
\n* Roamed Around the WB Lot (Saw Pushing Daisies Set & Friends’ Central Perk Set)
\n* Got a 15th Month Temp Job with Disney Consumer Products
\n* Attended Some Great Halloween Parties (Sarah, Emily & Casey’s and Elysia’s)<\/p>\n

November<\/strong>
\n* Celebrated Obama’s Win in the Nov 4th Presidential Election!
\n* Elysia Had a Successful Surgery
\n* Attended the Bats Day Gala & Bats Day at the Fun Park
\n* Participated in My 1st Civil Rights Rally to Protect Gay Marriage in California
\n* Went to Avila Beach for John’s 26th Birthday
\n* Had a Very Nice Thanksgiving with John, Dad, Grandma & the Kitties
\n* Bought a Brand New TV (Samsung HD 46″ 120hz LCD)<\/p>\n

December<\/strong>
\n* Went to San Francisco for Janis’ Birthday
\n* Got Laid Off from My 15 Month Temp Job at DCP (Due to Budget Cuts)
\n* Went to Lake Tahoe with John, Jean-Marie & Steve the Week Before Christmas<\/p>\n

For Christmas, John & I are making dinner at our place. We hope some local LA friends will join us. For New Year’s Eve, plans are up in the air. I’m really looking forward to a better 2009 for everyone (even if your 2008 was awesome). <\/p>\n
